I saw a piece of paper that said that I need to cover the "pressure release" hole with clear tape before putting my sphero in water? I couldn't find another reference to anything like that online so I just wanted to double check.
Won't the tape still let water leak in?
The hole is small enough that it should not allow water to flow into the ball anyway (due to the pressure differential between the air inside the ball and the water) however, as a precaution, we suggest taping over the hole. If the tape is secured well in the groove between the halves of the shell, it should keep the ball waterpoof.
