The Force Band has a main menu that allows you to access all of its functionality. You access the menu using the Force Band’s button.
If the Force Band is off:
Press the button once to turn your band on.
You will hear your band power up, then your band will say, “Choose your activity.”
If you are already in a play mode like “Control your Droid” or “Combat Training”:
Press and hold the button for two seconds, then release.
The band will say, “Choose your activity.”
Once the band says, “Choose your activity,” you are in the main menu. The LED on the Force Band should be blinking white.
While in the main menu, each time you press the button, the band will tell you what activity you are selecting. If you wait two seconds after the band announces the activity, the activity will automatically begin.
After entering the main menu, if you:
Press the button once: you’ll hear, “Control your Droid”. This mode allows you to connect your Force Band to BB-8 or other Sphero robots to drive. When this happens, the LED on your Force Band will blink orange.
Press the button twice: you’ll hear “Combat Training.” This mode allows you to hear the sound effects from firing bowcasters, swinging Lightsabers, and other weapons. When this happens, the LED on your Force Band will blink light blue.
Press the button a third time: you’ll hear, “Force Awareness.” This mode allows you to collect digital Holocrons in your environment. When this happens, the LED on your Force Band will blink yellow.
Press the button a fourth time: you hear “Put your band to sleep.” This mode allows you to put your Force Band to sleep. When this happens, the LED on your Force Band will blink violet.
If you stop pressing after a mode is spoken, such as “Control your Droid", that mode of play will begin automatically. For example, in the case where you select “Control your Droid” and wait, you will be prompted by the band to connect your BB-8 Droid, then aim your Droid, and finally drive your Droid.
